Josephine Magdalena Marty, who became famous as the first Swiss burlesque dancer Syra Marty, was born on June 21, 1921 in Goldau. In 1942, the girl moved to Zurich, and from there in 1948 she moved to the United States in search of Hollywood fame. She got into the variety show Can Can Follies Theater, and then began acting in films and for magazine covers.
